Spunhill Ltd was established in 1980 and founded on providing agronomic advice and services.  The business has developed to include animal health and general farm supplies, available at our stores in Ellesmere, Mold and Haverfordwest.

Agronomy

The highly experienced team of BASIS and FACTS qualified agronomists work in the counties of Shropshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire, Herefordshire, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd, Wrexham, Powys, Camarthenshire and Pembrokeshire .  The field agronomists offer a free field walking service and can provide a tailor made package specific to your cropping needs. 

Spunhill are proud of their comprehensive annual trials programme in wheat, barley, oilseed rape and maize.  New varieties and agronomic inputs are trialled to test their performance under our local climate conditions to examine their suitability for our region.  Open days are held at which visitors can see for themselves how different varieties are performing and have an opportunity to discuss their individual needs with technical experts.

Animal Health

Specialist animal health advice from our AMTRA qualified (SQP) personnel is available.  Advice from our team is available either in person or by visiting/telephone the store.

Other services offered by Spunhill include animal health clinics; animal ID tags; dietary mineral check, forage analysis, soil and tissue analysis and GPS mapping. 
Farm supplies can be ordered by telephone or through our website.  Spunhill operate their own van fleet to ensure a prompt professional delivery of products to farm.
